The Story

He helps individuals, leaders, and organizations build thriving environments where people can grow, lead effectively, and create lasting impact.

At the center of M.T.'s work is a simple belief: environments matter. The environments people experience personally, relationally, and organizationally shape how they think, perform, lead, and ultimately flourish.

Whether speaking to corporate teams, nonprofit leaders, churches, universities, or community organizations, M.T. equips audiences with practical tools to navigate adversity, strengthen culture, and create conditions where people thrive.

Leadership, Faith & Design

A life shaped early — and on purpose.

Born on Eglin Air Force Base and raised in Montgomery, M.T.'s passion for leadership began long before his professional career. Shortly after giving his life to Christ in high school, he founded his first Bible study — the beginning of a lifelong commitment to discipleship, teaching, and creating spaces where people could grow.

While attending Auburn University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Industrial Design, M.T. simultaneously interned with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and helped lead a thriving college and young adult ministry. Those early experiences became his first leadership laboratory — mentoring students, leading teams, and learning to connect purpose with action.

Building Around Human Experience

From healthcare design to senior innovation lead.

M.T. began his professional career as a Healthcare Interior Designer with the Department of Veterans Affairs, becoming one of the youngest lead designers in the VA system. After delivering his first multi-million-dollar project, he was promoted to the Dallas VA Medical Center — one of the largest VA healthcare systems in the nation.

Over the past decade, M.T. has led projects ranging from small-scale design solutions to multi-million-dollar developments, helping organizations improve the experiences of both customers and employees. Today he serves as a Senior Design Lead, shaping future customer and team experiences through innovation, operational strategy, and human-centered design.

A Global Perspective

Leadership without borders.

M.T.'s passion for developing people has extended far beyond local communities. He has spoken and trained leaders internationally — including work in Nepal and Kenya — facilitating leadership development, business training, spiritual formation, and community impact initiatives.

People thrive when healthy environments are intentionally created.

Hope Beyond the Pain

Lessons forged through adversity.

Like many people, M.T. has experienced seasons of loss, disappointment, uncertainty, and rebuilding. Those experiences challenged him to wrestle with questions of identity, resilience, purpose, and hope.

The lessons learned through those seasons became the foundation for his book, Hope Beyond the Pain, and continue to influence the message he shares with audiences around the world — that adversity does not have to define our future, and resilience can be developed even in life's most difficult seasons.

The Framework

The Three Environments.

The culmination of M.T.'s experience in ministry, design, leadership, innovation, and personal growth — a signature framework for individuals and organizations that want to become more resilient, creative, connected, and effective.

Internal

The mindset, identity, beliefs, and emotional health that shape how people think, respond, and lead.

Immediate

The relationships, teams, and communities that influence growth, belonging, and development.

External

The systems, structures, habits, and resources that support sustainable success and long-term impact.
